Dr. Joey Reno Vella is a practising advocate with expertise in civil, criminal, and family law. Over the years, he has contributed to the drafting of key legal reforms, including the legislation on the Responsible Use of Cannabis, demonstrating his commitment to modernising legal frameworks in Malta.
He currently serves as the Executive Chairperson of the Authority for the Responsible Use of Cannabis (ARUC), overseeing regulatory compliance and initiatives to promote responsible use.
Dr. Vella holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master’s in Advocacy, and he has extensive experience representing clients in a range of legal matters, from family disputes to civil and criminal cases. He is recognised for his analytical approach, professionalism, and dedication to upholding legal standards.
