Dr. Kristian Sant, M.D. (Melit) CCT (Psych) MSc (Addictions), is a consultant general adult and addiction psychiatrist with extensive experience in clinical practice and medical education. He began his studies in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Malta in 2005 and graduated in 2010. He subsequently specialised in psychiatry, completing his specialist training in 2017.
Dr. Sant has further enhanced his expertise with a Master of Science in Addiction Studies and serves as a visiting lecturer at the University of Malta, teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is actively involved in clinical supervision, mentoring young psychiatrists, and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices in addiction psychiatry.
He has a particular interest in addiction psychiatry and has contributed to local research projects aimed at improving treatment outcomes and understanding of substance use disorders. Dr. Sant is recognised for his holistic approach to patient care, combining clinical expertise with empathy and a focus on long-term recovery.
