Dr. Claire Francica, DCPsych is a private practitioner based in Malta, the founder of Bridging D’Vision and the Malta Jungian Sandplay Society. She is a qualified Counselling Psychologist (HCPC), an Existential Psychotherapist (PPBM 226), and a registered clinical supervisor.

Claire holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Existential Psychotherapy from Middlesex University and the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling (NSPC, London). She is also a Diploma Candidate in child, adolescent, and adult psychoanalysis at the C.G. Jung Institute in Küsnacht, Zurich.

Her specialist training includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Play Therapy (Play Therapy International/PTUK), Jungian Sandplay Therapy (BISS/ISST), and Psychologically Informed Mediation accreditation from the Civil Mediation Council (UK). She further trained in treating alienating behaviours in children and high-conflict family dynamics at the Family Separations Clinic in London, and serves as a court-appointed expert in parent-child reunification programmes in the Maltese Family Court.

Claire’s fields of interest include working with children and adolescents experiencing early-onset mental health issues, complex trauma, attachment difficulties, and alienating behaviours. She is also a practitioner-in-training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

In addition to her private practice, Claire is a part-time lecturer at the University of Malta, Faculty of Education, and a research supervisor in the Department of Counselling.
