Dr. Kevin Sammut Henwood is a forensic psychologist with 21 years of experience in corrections, offender management and treatment in Malta. He has worked extensively with both incarcerated and community-based offenders, specialising in the assessment and treatment of violent and sexual offenders, as well as populations with serious addiction problems. Dr. Sammut Henwood is also actively involved in staff training and policy development.

He has served on several government-appointed boards, including the Malta Psychology Professions Board, the Parole Board and the Sex Offender Treatment Board. He is a registered court expert in offender management, assessment and interventions.

Dr. Sammut Henwood completed his Master’s in Forensic Psychology at the University of Surrey and earned a Doctorate in Forensic Psychology from the University of Nottingham. As an academic, he has published peer-reviewed studies in renowned journals in the fields of psychology and criminology, focusing on violence and aggression. He holds professional warrants to practice as a psychologist in Malta (Malta Psychology Professions Board) and the UK, being a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

In his free time, he enjoys going to the gym, outdoor activities and traveling. He also has a particular enthusiasm for history.
