Steve has left the Directorate after serving as its de facto Director for five years, when he was appointed as Commissioner for the inmates welfare and development by the President of Malta in 2023.

Dr. Claire Francica, DCPsych is a private practitioner in Malta and founder of Bridging D'Vision and the Malta Jungian Sandplay Society. She is a qualified Counselling Psychologist, Existential Psychotherapist, and registered clinical supervisor, supporting children, adolescents, and families experiencing trauma, attachment difficulties, and high-conflict situations. Claire is a part-time lecturer at the University of Malta.
